About Us

My name is Trill Richardson, I am the owner of Black City Crossroads. I am a full time practitioner of the African America diasporic tradition known as Hoodoo, which is a set of traditions, spiritual practices, and beliefs that incorporate the veneration and honoring of ancestral spirits. Hoodoo is more than lighting candles and working roots. Hoodoo is a culture, a way of life, the black experience in America.

In a world where this practice has been misappropriated and taking advantage of by individuals outside of the culture and within, I take pride in my work knowing that the work I provide is authentic rootwork and conjure. I created this shop and became public with my practice to not only keep conjure alive, but most importantly (like those that came before me), to provide a service to those in need.

A very wise man was once asked what's the key to living a long life? He took a puff of his cigar and simply said "Drink a little whiskey every now and then and don't take sides in an argument."
